Project Management
The primary objective of WP6 is to ensure the legal, financial, and day-to-day activities necessary for the project.
As project coordinator, HMO, will liaise with the European Commission and address contractual and reporting requirements. EIBIR will be the contact point for consortium partners, coordinate consortium activities such as project meetings, consortium internal communication and take care of the day-to-day management of the project. WP6 also encompasses the coordination of project governance (e.g. management of boards and committees) and will ensure the quality and timeliness of project progress and results, address risk planning and management.
Task 6.1: Project coordination and governance
This task will establish the AlternativesToGd management structure (HMO, supported by EIBIR – see section 3.2) and prepare and follow up the meetings of the project’s consortium bodies (EIBIR). Permanent procedures for quality assurance and assessment of the fulfilment of the objectives of the project will be established, including progress measurement and risk management, risk identification, evaluation, follow-up, and contingency plans (HMO, supported administratively by EIBIR). A project management handbook will be prepared and made available to all partners (EIBIR). This task will also cover the coordination of ethical issues (HMO, supported administratively by EIBIR).
Task 6.2: Project administration, logistics, and reporting
This task includes day-to-day administrative and logistical tasks: maintenance of the project work plan and monitoring of its implementation following project management and quality control procedures (HMO, supported by RFHMO and EIBIR); coordination of reporting procedures in close collaboration with all partners (HMO); budget management, financial monitoring, administration of payments, preparation of annual cost reports, administration of contracts with the EC and service contracts (HMO, supported by RFHMO).
